This platform provides the opportunity to match jobs in domestic work, child care, elderly care, people with special needs, pet care, etc.

At this stage the platform is dedicated to the domestic and care sector. Only Job seekers who have the right to work in Lebanon outside the sponsorship requirements can benefit from the platform. The others can access the job market by obtaining work permits in accordance with the applicable regulations.

In light of legal gaps and until the sector is covered by the national labour law, the Ministry seeks to protect these workers by setting protection conditions for this type of work, in such a way that the employer’s and worker’s requests submitted through the platform means his/her approval of all the conditions listed on this platform, and this submission is logged and filed in the system. Both parties have to sign the employment conditions and each party retain a signed copy. Therefore, the process of matching jobs related to this platform is considered as an employment relationship subject to the rights and obligations contained in the terms of recruitment listed on the platform as well as determined by the relevant regulations and decisions issued by the Ministry of Labour.

  • Occupational Safety and Health
    • The service provider has the right to remove him/herself from any situation that may put him/her in immediate danger until the situation is addressed.
  • Freedom of movement and communication and contact with others
    • The service provider has the right to freedom of movement and communication and to be in contact with others. Service providers, including live-in, have the right to leave the household and spend his/her time freely during their daily and weekly rest periods, annual leave and public holidays.
  • Weekly and daily working hours and breaks
    • The maximum weekly working hours are forty-eight (48 hours) at an average of eight hours per day. Overtime can be maximum two hours per day and is paid at an additional 50% of the normal hourly rate. Maximum daily working hours, including overtime hours, cannot exceed 10 hours. In case of work on a public holiday the service provider is entitled to compensatory time-off or payment to be agreed between the two parties.

    • Full time worker with a contract period exceeds one year, will benefit from an annual paid leave of (15) days The annual leave days can be consecutive or intermittent agreed upon between the two parties.

  • Termination of the employment
    • a - Termination with notice
    • Either party may unilaterally terminate the employment relationship by giving a one (1)-month prior notice to the other party.
    • b - Termination without notice
    • Either party may terminate the employment relationship without notice in case:

      *any of the above commitment were violated.

      *violence, sexual harassment or assault.

      *serious harm due to negligence.

  • Settlement of disputes:
    • In case of dispute between the two, either party may lodge a complaint with the Ministry of Labour directly or through the complaint section in the digital platform, or Recourse to specialized courts
  • Any changes to the above terms, you both need to resign and upload the agreement .
